I have the same 230 on my 77' KZ1000. I only have about 1600 miles on it and it shows very little wear.
I'm running it at 32psi.
But you know I'm running light, no bags fairings/shield etc.
Did the same with the previous Shinko 720.
I only got about 4500 miles on it before I replaced that one.
The junk-ass Michelin, before the Shinko, went about 2800 miles before it started making the bike headshake!
The Avons before that went around 6000 miles.
So, why can my car tires easily go 25,000- 30,000 miles but motorcycle tires are hard pressed to go 6500-7000 miles?
Strictly contact area vs power delivery?
And yes, you are heavy handed on the throttle in every video of yours I watch... which is all of them! Lol

I guess there are radials out there that would last longer but I couldn't find our sizes or affordable prices. At $76 a pop, I can burn through these without too much pain.
Yeah, using the power is good for the soul. :woohoo: When I get up to speed, I behave myself.

My wife has around 8,800 miles on her Shinko SR777's, I have a bit more on my Avon road riders
We are hoping to get another 2,000 out of them that should get us through Spring vacation
the bike plus her and baggage weigh around 650 lbs

Working against the heat with a back ache. Taking my time about it. Got almost 5000 miles on this tire.
