Bob, can you tell us where these repro gauges are made? No markings on the box I'm on my third speedo.

Here is a bunch of info. Admittedly, they are Smiths, but much may also apply to ND.

I think it interesting that he points out how to test a speedometer cable, even a new one, to be sure it is good and that a slightly long cable can cause much grief by pressing the magnet too close to the cone.

Some repro gauges are from Taiwan but most are made in China. The Repro's are all made from inferior metals and don't last very long. The stock ND gauges for Z1's and the KZ series will last for years if not mounted too tightly on the bracket.
Also an KZ series ND gauge and a Smith's gauge is apples and oranges. The Smiths gauges are high end high quality.

Jack...sorry I don't log in on the forums much. Too busy. However I'm still in business with the same e-mail address I've had since 2001. >>>> 76kz900@Bellsouth.net If you ever see a message that my E-Mail address is "invalid" the issue is with your Internet provider. Some ISP's believe that BELLSOUTH is not valid.....but AT&T bought them out and still transfer all e-mails. I'm also on Facebook with the same e-mail address.....and on Facebook as Bob Harrington.
