Yamaha R1 radial monobloc calipers

Hey guys,

I need my memory refreshed please... I thought I remembered a project on here a few years ago where someone used the radial mount Yamaha R1 monobloc calipers, Furthermore, he custom machined a socket to remove the "Torx-like" plugs in the side of calipers to remove the gold anodizing. Does anyone remember this? Am I hallucinating?

It may have been Zed 1015......I seem to remember he stripped the gold anodizing off his forks chemically........it was in his last build thread

I made a tool to do that too. Those plugs are not tight at all. Less then 10ftlbs.

Awesome, good to know! I'm doing a brake upgrade on my ZRX pretty excited for these!
