GS1100 SWINGARM CONVERSION
09 Apr 2013 11:16
Picked up a 1974 Z1 from Z1 Wiz over the weekend that someone started to make a street fighter out of. The brake controls and rear foot pegs have been cut off and it didn't have a swingarm.
I stuck on my GS1100 swingarm and thought I could use something like GSXR foot pegs and LTD wheels on the bike, since I have no brake controls.
I've been looking for some swingarm info, but the link I found is 7 years old and it doesnt work anymore.

Can someone tell me the parts I'm missing for my swingarm?

Do you have the sleeve that goes from one side to other between pivot bolts and bearings?
There should also be a dust cap for each end, youll also need roughly 1/8-3/16" worth of washers to use as shims on each side of pivot

I know I need spacers, but pivot bolts? I need to use the Kawasaki pivot bolt, corrct?
I need something for the needle bearings to ride on. Can you show me some pics or a link to a parts diagram? I'm lost here. I've never seen this GS1100 swingarm on a bike. Bought it like it is.
I'd like to get the parts I need bought, so I can start mocking this bike up.
Thanks in advance for any help.

One last question.
Do the "SPACER, PIVOT SHAFT" (PART #2) have the correct I.D. for the Kawasaki pivot bolt?
