I've got this tiny 16" wheel on the back of my motorcycle and the air filler thing is a real problem for me.

Make sure its the valve stem and not a bead lock :)

That's a fairly tight area to work in also. Instead of just reaching in there with your air chuck from the side, you will probably have to come in from the back so your hand fits in between the brake disc and sprocket. Not much room but that's the easiest way to reach the filler tube. Go in parrallel to the tire not 90* to it.

I always put 12 PSI in each of the three; I figure that makes 36 PSI total. Ed

The diagram for his rear wheel doesn't show rim stoppers (bead locks).

If you're having trouble airing it up, you could try getting an angled/long air chuck.
Do an internet image search for dual head air chuck to see what I'm talking about.
Or next time you have the tire off, install an angled valve stem.

it's really awkward- 16 on the back and 19 on the front. I am holding on for dear life trying not to fall off the back with people looking at me like it is a "Big Wheel" with only two tires.

Because you can't air up the tires? Or is there some other problem? My bike has basically the same wheels which aren't problematic.
