Got my 530 chain conversion JT Sprockets, The stock front sprocket has a hole in it for the safety lock washer to lock into. I tried to drill a hole in it but it is hardened so no luck. Should there be a hole or will I be safe just bending it over like it was.

without a hole in the sprocket the washer/tab really does no good.
Put some red lock tite on the threads before torquing the nut down. B)

Get everything all together on bike to make sure it lines up before cranking the nut down on there, that way you can use the brakes on bike to keep sprocket from turning while cranking it down.
Id check the nut again between 50-100 miles to make sure its tight B)

I'd also suggest getting one of those very thin lock washers that are meant to have one (or more) sides bent up flat against a side of the nut. Personally speaking, I wouldn't trust locktite alone.

If it has tits or tires, it'll give you problems!

If his sprocket doesnt have the hole to catch the tab on washer its not going to really do any good will it? B)

To put a hole in a hardened sprocket, find a local machine shop with a EDM(Electronic, Discharge Machining) hole popper. A Cobalt bit might be able to drill the hole, but EDM is quicker.

if the "locking washer" has splines in the center then the edges are bent up,it will keep the nut from spinning.
if it does not have splines in the center it will not keep the nut from spinning with the edges bent up.
