Just got a steering dampener in a parts swap with a fellow 650 owner.
It came with a front clamp for the fork tube, but the frame mount on the dampener is too large for the reflector mount hole.
I will make a bracket to accept the larger size, or drill & tap the reflector mount.

I'm not having any issues with wobbles or anything.
Had thought of using a dampener for some time, and now have the chance for next to nothing.

Have it mounted, using the reflector tab on the frame which is quite solid on the 650 frame, and have taken some rides.
I had some mounting issues, adjusting the mounts a few times to make clearance on both left & right turns.
The fairing ended up getting in the way on full right turns, dampener mounted on the right.
I moved the fairing out an inch on that side.
Still need to get used to the dampener while riding, but have not really noticed it, which is a good thing.
It has 6 clicks, to tighten the steering, and have clicked it up to 3 & 4 on some 80 kph+ riding.
Nice to know it's there when hitting cracks and road snakes in the road.
