HELP with Extended Swing Arm

I just bought a '76 KZ900 that has a GS swing arm on it. The arm is hitting the frame on the RH side where the original pipes used to bolt up. On the LH side there is about 3/4" of clearance. I am kind of confused as to why this is happening. Can anyone shed some light onto why this may be happening?

is it twisted?
i know you have to grind/clearance those brackets on some frames to clear the suzuki arms while others dont.
i used a porta power to push mine out on my ltd last time it was apart. B)
Still recovering, some days are better than others.

It doesn't appear twisted but that was my first thought as well, it rides straight, but something is going on.

B, I would look to the Pivot bolt spacing if you haven't already. ( I installed a GSX1100 S/A in my KZ1000A1 @ 2 weeks ago ) A @ 4mm spacer on either side centered both pass. peg mounts & the drop at shock mounts,, Luck G

gane, the centering looks good, its the vertical clearance on each side that is different.
