It might go different for you but I have had to cut the front off the tail plastic as it is to long now , The angle is steeper where it comes together with the seat parts .. I only took out about 4 inches though :)

Thanks Guys,
I chopped the tail, sluged it, and welded it back up.
Here is how we are looking. Everything is still rough, and needs a lot more work. But I am getting there.
next is the seat pan. I am still undecided about that. I cut the stock one, but I feel like its still too wide. I would really like it to hug the frame rails. So I will either split it, and take a little out of the middle, or make a whole new one. It might be easier to just go with a flat pan, and roll the edges around the rails.
Any input on this?

I took some of the bare bike, and with the tank and tail section.

Looks great! I like the short tail. Ending it right at the rear axle looks cool - like an old school cafe racer. Keep the pics comin'! B)
