Yes it would.....however....the sidestand will not fold up tight enough that way,...the piece that bolts around the splined shaft is in the way.....making sidestand "flap in the breeze", so to speak.....can't have that....

I'm not sure why it doesn't work. I should put a tester on it and see if the circuit is closing.
I think it's a common problem with the pressure switches.

GP or 'race' shifting issues: I ran into the same thing on my 'J' project...have to use the reverse shift pattern b/c of the kick-stand...so be it, the rear-sets are too cool to worry about that.

Installed the left side '04 GSXR600 pegs. Right side is waiting on missing parts.

No, surprisingly not. I ride with my toes on the right side peg and it evens it out.

I'd love to try this with my Spectre if I could get a good deal on the rearsets. I'll have to look into it.

I'm liking the look of these rearsets.....Do they work with drum brakes as well as disc, as all these examples look like discs.
Cheers

These would need some fabbing to fit a drum set-up, as the connection point on the brake pedal has an upward force when the brake pedal is pressed down.
For a drum brake, you'd like to have a forward motion to pull the drum brake's rod, like these pegs:
