The only problem I'm having with mine is the rotor is made out of aluminum and gets sloppy on the shaft. This is my second one. The other one did the same thing even when lubricated. I can see it with the timing light. I think that's the cause of the slight misfire at 35-4000 RPM. The nut has nothing to do with it. Thinking on making a collar to take up the slop.

My 1st car tire conversion experiment chassis was a 1977 900 rear drum brake. It was crude, I have no pictures! was around 1992-3. No chromoly, used mild steel. Used a car Centerline 15" rim. It was offset, only finished on 1 side. With a 2 piece homemade hub. It was ugly.

Looks really nice. IMO looks better primers.

I’ve been wanting to install the chrome fork dust shields this fall when I rebuild the ‘78’s front brakes. Do you know where to get them.

I might have an extra pair from the parts bike. Can’t remember what kind of shape they’re in. Let me check and I’ll let you know.
