The inside glass on my speedo and tach need cleaning. Can the chrome ring that surrounds the glass and is crimped over be bought to replace the one I would have to pry open? The smearing is not on the outside.

So far as I know, they are nla. You will need to be very, very careful with them.
There is an article under the Articles tab describing and showing the process.
Edit: I was going to insert the link, but for some reason the paste feature refuses to work.

After trying the repops (JUNK) didn't last so I decided to use old stock ones. I have a thread on them

I don't know anything about these. see links. I would fab up a crimp ring holder or something, so that they can be crimped with minimal damage.

What makes you call the replacement gauges junk? Except for the missing ND marking they sure look good?

Bought them from z1parts.net . One set lasted a couple months. The speedo failed so they sent me a new one then the tach did the same thing and they sent me a new one. The odometer stopped working so I sent them back for a refund. It's all in my thread. If I hadn't bought them from z1parts I would be stuck with them and out $400. They have a lifetime money back warranty. No one else has that. They first said it must have been a bad batch but then they stopped selling them for a time. I don't know how they are now but I decided I'd make my own out of used ones and when I could afford it I'd send them out to be redone professionally. OEM is best and I doubt the repops would last 40+ years.
