I looked again at your diagram and cleared up the confusion on how the light works when nothing is connected to battery ground

Silly me

However

My set up is

Led lights
(-) to frame ground
(+) to each respective side of the turn switch

Relay
(+) battery power
(+) switched power? Or flashing power to the turn switch
(-) to frame ground

Think im lost on how the turn signal switch comes wires up

I was thinking the "flashing" power signal from the relay goes to power the switch
And when i select left or right it puts that "flasher" power to that side?

Thanks again man.

Your thinking is correct as long as you have the switch hooked up properly. You can test by just running 12 volts + to the switch (no flasher in circuit) and see if the corresponding sides light up when selected.

Did you bench test the flasher and bulb as @loudhvx has mentioned? This will tell you for sure if the combination will work.

As Jayrodoh, says, you're thinking of the wiring seems correct. The connection from the flasher to the switch could be considered the output of the flasher relay.

I don't usually trust frame ground. They tend to get flakey with time. I always connect the harness ground to a point on the frame, then from that I connect a wire to the engine. Then from that point, the negative battery cable goes to the battery ground.

So there are four grounds and they are connected to each other with wires rather than relying on frame bolts.
They are:
Battery ground.
Engine ground.
Frame ground.
Harness ground.
All connected to each other with wires.

Then I try to connect all lights and devices to actual harness ground.
Sometimes turn signal fixtures won't have a dedicated wire for the harness ground, then you have no choisce but to use the frame ground, or add a wire somehow.

Anyway, here is the same bench test using a turn signal switch. It basically simulates how it should be wired on the bike.

Yes the lights came on properly but did not blink at all with the mechanical flasher

With the electronic flasher nothing happened

I dont have my relay to igntion however
Its to direct battery with fuse

Does it need switched power?

Im gonna go mess with it later on and ill let u guys know what i overlooked lol

Thanks again!!

The power for the turn signals is usually routed after the ignition switch so that some guy walking by can't just turn your signals on and leave it to kill the battery.
