I’m a total noob a doing wiring or crimping so bear with me.
I’m installing a new ignition system on my bike that I’m building. I know how the coils mout and all. But I’m a little hesitant to do the wiring for the coils. Ik that the bottom right switch plate has 3 wires. A power and one for each coil.(1-4 and 2-3) I guess all I know is that I have 4 existing wires from the old coils. Each set has a red wire, I assume that’s the power. And one set has a green wire and the other has a black wire. My question is can I just use the old wires? And if so what wires do what?
Thanks!
Like I said I’m a noob at this.

Okay, I see the diagram you sent me. Not sure what the switched 12v wire would be.
I’ll see if I can do some digging. As for the dyna s plate on the bottom right the with two wires with bullet connectors, the ones for 1-4 and 2-3. Do I chop the connectors off? I’ll see if I can do some research about dyna s.
Thanks!

Yellow and red is the power wire. You shouldn't have to cut anything off.

Idk if there is a yellow and red wire. Do you mean both yellow and red wires are power?

Someone should totally use the wiring diagrams that y’all sent me and like point to the wires you’re talking about and send it to dyna. Lol
I’ll peel back some electrical tape to see what colors are what. The 4 wires I sent earlier, do I use them?
Thanks!

The only yellow red wire I can see is the one from the starter solenoid.

There should be a wire near the coils with a double hookup. That is the power wire. The green and black wires connect to the dyna pickups. Some Dyna's have a wire that connects to the oil light switch.

I assume you’re talking about the red wires that went into my old coil?
Let me see if I get this right. The two red wires from the old coils are the power and both my new coils can hoop up to those. As for the two wires that run up from the plate on the right and they connect to the coils as well. Then I need to power the plate. So I’ll dig around until I find that yellow/red wire.
Is that all right?
So I won’t need new wire. And then I need to time it. And then I should be good to go.
Thanks!

Is that correct? Or do I hook up the red wire from the dyna s plate to one of the red wires the runs to the coils?
Thanks!
