I then re-checked all fluids, bolt torques, tyre pressure and all over check. Then took her for a series of short rides and wow I am super happy! As Zaddict says, ridiculously easy to start and short time needing the choke.
I need to figure out the best timing setting as she is a bit rough at lower revs and under load up hills. Plus, I only had the standard spark plus so have ordered some Iridium plugs, once I have those in I will play with the settings. Any advice on setting the timing will be appreciated;
• Stock Motor
• Air-box totally gone and pod filters
• Exhaust is stock front collectors and then a stainless slip on muffler
• 1 size up on main jets
Thank you to Zaddict for your help!

Sean_Yalls wrote: So, I installed the SPII system on the weekend and she is alive! Lucky during the process I checked the reg/rec and found it faulty and over charging the battery (I was using an old battery and jumper cables so no harm done). So I have disconnected the charge circuit awaiting a new reg/rec.

That’s great to hear . A dyno tune would be ideal. I haven’t managed to get a useful one yet - surprisingly hard to find a good tuner near SF. I’ve just been trying all the curves. My butt dyno tells me +4 to +6 advance works best.
