I was looking up Taiwan manufacturing quality when I came across this. I wouldn't ride like this. I guess it's normal there.

I've been to Twain before and driving is pure anarchy. Traffic laws just suggestions.

I opened a claim stating the ad was misleading and it ruined my stator. The slippery SOB revised his ad and sent me a return label that I have to print out and get there by the 4th. That's one day after when I can get eBay to step in. No way to call them beforehand anymore. I have a screenshot of the ad but it doesn't show the line he revised. I'll roll the dice and file a claim on the 3rd.

I sent the knock off to the seller this morning as well as the carb kit I got from jetsRus. Got hosed on the shipping. Ordered a Mosfet Ed had suggested. Meanwhile the battery is staying up and I can ride with my lights on.B)

Good luck Steve.

Realize that no R/R can save a weak stator. I had two different stators that checked out with fairly high AC voltage and low resistance but they still wouldn't push more than 13.7 volts DC for charging. Bought a new Rick's stator and problem solved.
