They Do Come Apart!

A spare electric tachometer, for example:
These two gauges look about the same, when viewed from the back:
But...when viewed from the front:
They differ slightly

It's time for a face transplant.
 !

Coffee sounds good, GPzMOD750...
Thank You very, very-much!
There's sensitive electro-gizmo stuff hidden inside, so the change-over will require intensive care.
Anyone think the 160 unit has twice the guts of the 85's?
There is nothing else to do but ride.

Those gauges look so awesome! The 85 mph speedo on my old KZ1100 was pretty much maxed out at the top of 2nd gear.

Re: They Do Come Apart!
19 Apr 2017 10:29That sucks, one of the few changes they made between the 81/82 and 83 models was the gauges. The 81/82 used 4 separate gauges, the speedometer, gas gauge and tachometer were mounted to a common bracket and the odometer/trip were mounted to a bracket below. In 83 they turned it into all one encased unit with odometer/trip returned to the guts of the Speedo. I don't know if the 84 is the same.joejr2 wrote: I'm looking for one of these from 83 kz 1100ltd tach module
