The 2 front lights are mounted to brackets ground the housing of the lights to the frame.
The front lights have 2 positive wires, one that goes to the back that supplies power to the rear blinkers.
The 2 rear lights housing are grounded to the frame. With 1 wire connected to the front for power. The other wire is a ground that doesnt seem to make a difference if its grounded or not.
The turn signal indicators stay on with the key on.
And on the flasher relay one wire tests a constant hot, and the other wire turns on and off with the turn signal switch.
everything is order from the left top row to the right.
here are the lights that i am trying to hook up
Front indicator lights
front blinkers
rear blinkers
me and my buddy are stumped so everyones help is greatly appreciated!
Those two-wire front blinkers caught my eye, are you sure the fronts are dual-filament lights? Sounds more like the two wires are not positive, but one being hot, one being a ground. Usually, with a dual-filament light, the blinkers will be three-wire, primarily because there is no direct ground through the frame on the front end and must be wired to a ground. This would explain your problem, the flasher is not seeing a circuit due to the lack of a ground to the front signals and they'd behave like there isn't any flashers connected at all.

Inside the headlight nacelle, the wires to each front signal light consist of black/yellow ground, blue running light, and green or grey blinker light.
Just leave the blue wires disconnected.
Under the seat on top of the rear fender should be connectors for similarly colored wires to the rear signal lights. Blue isn't to either rear blinker.
Good Fortune!

newowner79kz750b1 wrote: The stock lights were dual fitment. But the new lights I bought are only single fitment. At the time I bought them I didn't know the difference. Since it doesnt bother me that they are single fitment and won't turn on for driving lights how do I wire them up. I just want signals. Lol. I dont care if they don't come on like they originally did when stock
What Patton says is correct, but also you can remove the headlight and gain access to the bucket, you'll probably see some orphan "female" plugs, by metering each wire with the ignition on, you should be able to find the running light wire, which will be constant hot with the key on. The signal wire will only go hot when you hit the signal. So, when you hit the turn signal switch left, find the wire that energizes only at that time, and same on the right. Then, just hook one of your new light wires to that wire (try to identify the center pole wire that articulates with the bottom tip of the bulb socket) to that wire and the other to the ground wire, which you'll probably see as a Black/Yellow and possible having two connector spots on it.

mark that and then turn right side on and repeat
if you dont have a test light use your old turn signal but make sure you ground it.
