I see bikes on here all the time with open sub frames no battery no mad rats nests of wiring and all that, so whats the trick to get the motor to self generate power with no wiring and no battery B.S Ive heard guys using all the power generated from the kick start power alone. so if any one can point me to the right direction im really annoyed with all the ugly wires hanging all over my bike. i like the clean bare metal basic look. Thanks for any feed back!

Find the forum member "Loudhvx" and ask him for a bare bones wiring diagram for your bike.

You can get what's called a bare bones setup. Check out the Mattylight link in my signature.

But whether you can get rid of the battery or not depends on your alternator. It needs to be one with a permanent magnet rotor. Then your bike has to be in good tune so it starts easily in one kick.

My 2-stroke Lawn Boy mower has practically no wiring at all. Is that what you are working on, or is is some other model? ;)

Including information about bike year and model may elicit better responses. And it's easy to put the information in your signature where it will automatically appear in posted messages. When done, the signature information appears in all posts, past and future. :cheer: And may be changed as often as desired.

Having no battery may provide extra space to carry jumper cables.

Diesel. Zero wires. haha

you can get creative and run the wiring through the frame. I did that on my HD, wasn't too bad to do.

Im building a fiber glass cafe seat so what i might end up doing is getting a smaller batter and put it under the rear bump in the seat and tuck the wiring under and mounted the seat pan. But thanks for all feed back. I think my next kz 440 project im gonna pick up ill run no battery at all and make that bike real simple. Thanks all!
