i talked to a tech at kz1. he said that the xj maxim coil should work. so i will give it a shot.

If the coil from the Maxim is too low ohms, it will blow/burn out the Dyna S ignition, and then you'll be paying for both $$$!
MAKE ABSOLUTELY SURE that any coil you use has an input side impedance of 2.8 ohms or greater.
Remember trust, but verify. Check the coil first, then proceed. Just cause a guy says "yeah, it SHOULD work", doesnt mean "YES, I designed this coil for this application". :laugh:

Oops, I should have said it's a Dyna III, not Dyna S. But they do use the same coils as the one you have.
