CR or FCR carbs on a KZ was created by DanMadBoy
I have a lot of bikes and I like to trick out/individualize each.

I would LOVE to put the gorgeous CR carbs on my KZ650. My carbs are Mikuni VM 22. Are there any CR carbs that will fit? They sure are pretty and I have them on four of my bikes.

I think Im going to stick with the airbox. Research in the forum shows consensus to be keep the airbox. No responses needed now. Thanks.
Wish I could delete this so it doesnt clutter the forum. A shame we cant delete topics.

I really am on the fence about the pods now - I know, I flip flop! Was out riding for a bit today on my ZRX and discussed it with friends. They think pods would look way cool on the KZ650.

By the way, I noticed someone has repeatedly said I must not have both side covers for my bike.
I most certainly do have both covers! I  removed and set aside the one on the clutch side so I could add a side bag. Ive done this to ALL my bikes except my 900F, KZ750 CB500F and ZRX.

Below is a pic of my bike with the side bag, then a pic I took of the other side last summer. When I got home from riding today, I saw a post within this topic that again said I must be missing the cover. I said, "hmmm, let me dig out the clutch side, side cover." I posted it below too.

My cb750 has the same deal. See below.

Too big. My wife was going to get them for me as a surprise, and got deflated when she reached out to them and was told the CR26, which is the smallest they have, is too big for my bike which has VM22's. She said their exact words were "unless his bike is modified, the smallest carbs we have are still too big for that bike."

I dont know if CRs are even made in 22 size. I was hoping someone would tell there have been smaller CR's made.

If you were still wanting bigger carbs then 650's from other years had VM24's which drop straight on and will provide an improvement.
