Well, the issues with the lighting circuits must have been related to the moisture, because when I started trying to track down the shorts, the voltages were back up to 12.5V on both of those circuits with no overheating of the fuses. It has been hot and dry here for several days. It was great to get the bike out again, I rode about 60 miles yesterday. I think I need to adjust the carbs. After riding about 30 miles, the bike seemed to be missing a little at idle, and I couldn't adjust the idle down any lower than about 2,000 rpm. The idle setting procedure in the manual is for the 26mm carbs. Mine are the 28mm carbs that don't have pilot screws on the bottom. There are adjusting screws on the tops, are these the pilot screws?

I'm glad the bike sorted itself out electrically.
Thanks for the update.
The others will be able to help you out on the fueling side. :)
