Great example of why I hate aftermarket carb kits. Keyster may be better than most but a lot of carb kits are too generic and don't have the exact parts as installed originally.

Going to be a minute before I'm ready for the choke plunger to get installed. So I'm going to let this debate continue. Which is better, with needle or without. As Scirocco stated he has never seen a plunger with the needle. Is it a US verses European thing. If so is the carb body also different to us a plunger without a needle... I see the needle as Zed1015 states. Allowing you incrementally adjustable enrichment to select idle rpm during choke on warm up...

I currently have 10 sets of 26mm and 28mm on bikes and on the shelf and have serviced and repaired at least another 100 from different Z1 and KZ from UK , US and Italian imports etc and have never seen a genuine choke plunger without the needle on these carbs.
Every workshop manual I have, both Genuine factory and aftermarket Haynes and Clymer all show the plunger with needle.
I think Scirocco is mistaken unless some have been modified in Germany for some unknown reason..

Just wanted to update this thread. I just purchased a second set of kits from keysterJapan on March 5 and they have arrived already on March 12. If anyone is hesitant about ordering from Keyster direct. I have not had any concerns.
