Tk22 carb factory settings
06 Mar 2019 09:26
Took these carbs apart and noticed the slides are all set differently and don't close the same. Since I've cleaned them up I would like to know if there is a reference to how the factory did it before they put them on the bikes. I would like all settings like air screw throttle slide Etc. Does anyone have this? I really don't want to take these back out to have to adjust something else once I put them back on the bike. Thanks!

Take a piece of phone wire and use it as a gauge to set them all the same. "Bench synced.

In my signature are links to factory manuals and a tk22 website.
Each slide is adjusted separately and there is no factory setting other than to be near the middle of the range and have them all set the same. There is no master carb like on other carb-rack designs. They are all set independently.
If some adjusted the needle and didn't seat the bell crank properly, that can throw the settings way off.
The website shows how to remove the bell crank to adjust the needles etc.
It also shows the proper way to shim a needle and slide.
It also shows how to set the wide-open-position which gets altered if you shim the needles.
