Good place to buy Mikuni VM24SS jets?
03 Mar 2019 07:38 - 03 Mar 2019 07:50
I need 102.5 Main and #15 pilot.
Prefer Mikuni jets. Any guidance in the right direction is appreciated.
And what the heck does "SS" stand for on these carbs anyways?

Just remembered your in Cali, so maybe somewhere closer to home would suit better, Mikuni are Cali co if memory serves me right. Make sure you buy Mikuni jets not aftermarket as I've heard all kinds of woes on aftermarket jets not being an accurate flow rate.

I should have specified. US only. Not a fan of international shipments. Sometimes they dont make it. Prefer to keep it "in house"
BTW I dont have VM26. In the post I mentioned I have VM24,. Im guessing they may operate under the same principle, which is why you linked the 26's?

The aftermarket jets are drilled slightly different. I put some 125's in and the bike wouldn't run for SHT. Got Mikuni's and it ran as it should. Lesson learned.
Looks like the VM mains are the same, not sure of the pilots.
Pics?

Of the pilots you're looking for. I get mine from good sellers on eBay. Free shipping, much cheaper and get them quick. I like jetsRus but the prices are steep along with the shipping.

Yes, I added the link to show the meaning of SS, carb size is irrelevant.

These are the vapor blasted VM24SS that Im going to put in. Unfortunately they were jetted for pods: The jetting is: 110 Mains, 17.5 pilot, and jet needle clipped to 4th slot. I took these jets out to show you.
I want them back to stock, 102.5 and 15.
To my eye, it looks like there are only two jets in this thing. Please correct me if Im wrong. I cant find a fiche.
