Filters for gravity feed fuel systems don't filter all that fine. They are more of a screen than a filter and small particles can get past them.

Amen. I am having to deal with that right now on my ZRX. Just installed a brand new petcock with built in filter and a brand new inline filter, and it would not start. Finally took the carbs off again only to find the new filter nearly clogged and a layer of silt in all four carbs.

So far the carbs seem to be ok. I installed some reamed out 127.5 main jets when I had open exhaust. I put on a 4to1 pipe and have been looking at picking up a selection of jets to fine tune.
Currently all my mix screws are around three turns out.
It has great low end and pulls pretty well up top. However there is a stumble when going full throttle in the mid range.
Any recommendations on jet sizes?
