Just to be 100% sure if you take a look at my first two picture today, we are sure I have VM24?

They appear to be VM24 carbs, but the float bowls are different than the ones on my carbs (see image below). Mine are original on my 1977 KZ650-C1, maybe yours are from a later model KZ? Ed

I believe the float seat w/needle is denoted VM26/26 even though they were used on various model VM carbs other than just 26's. The part number use a suffix on the end of the denotation which references the orifice size (1.0, 1.2, 1.5...2.5). Larger orifice = more fuel flow.

In my experience the real Mikuni parts are best. Beware of cheap aftermarket parts because the float needle spring can't hold up the weight of the float.

The float needle/seat someone pictured is aftermarket and doesn't work all that great. Suggest you try K&L 18-8956 as these are IDENTICAL to original Mikuni float needles for your bike (no rubber tips and no wires attached at the top).

Never had problems with aftermarket Keyster carb parts and rebuilt kits.
A new float needle need a new seat to work/seal correct.
I never renew the float needle only on an used uneven seat surface.

The bike is from 1981 and the carbs I think is the original who was used in the orginal 650cc engine.
I can see that you all not agree here what I shall go for.

When I try ebay on K&L 18-8956, then I got needle who is identical to what I have today (sure its possible to be looking at a picture).
I have had problem to adjust the level perfect on some of the carbs, so I think its a good idea to change the seat and the needle.
I will also verify the bowl is not leaking when I rebuild these.

Are we all agree that 16030-1001 will the best option if I can find to a okay price ?
Or is there option I can go for who will me almost same quality and save alot of money ?

You can go with both OEM or aftermarket, they will better than your current float needles.
Your wallet will decide......

Looking forward to get them to test with...
How common is leak problem with the float bowl itself?

I don`t want to open up the carb now to check them... want to waith until I get the needle.. but ... If they are damage must I get new of them also... maybe I need to chec them now... hem..... heh

The OEM Mikuni seat/needle is best. K&L needles won't hold up the weight of the float without compressing the needle spring, unlike the Mikuni needles.

hehe :)

The bike is "working" I can use it etc... but its not going perfect.
So I have lot of fun now also :)

But I`m working to get it perfect... :)

Get full controll over the float height, will be good, I think these can confuse my troubleshooting.

What I see when I start up the engine cold, it start on 3 and 4, when I give some throotle it start up on 1 and 2 also,
and then it going on all four on idle... So I have a therory about the float level here.. ?

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationI would do the service fuel level check using clear tubing. hold the tubing high up beside the carb body & open the drain screw. then lower the tubing a little. check the fuel level. lower the tubing again. check the fuel level again. etc. After opening the drain screw, if you raise the tubing, start over.

Here are some JetSki float valve assys that appear to be very similar to the VM24s.
In the description are the part numbers 16030-2066 (JetSki part number) and 16030-1001 (KZ650 part number).
