1978 kz750b carb floats

1978 kz750b carb floats

i have bought 2 sets of floats for my 1978 kz750b carbs and none of them work right. they hang up in the bowl and seem to not shut off the fuel when full of gas. anyone have any suggestions??

Are the floats the plastic or brass once?
Brass floats can have micro holes that fill them with fuel and let them sunk to the boal ground.

brass. they float. i checked them before putting them in. when i go to put the bowl on it looks like they are pushing up as i push the bowl on and i fill the lines going into the carb with gas and it just keeps taking gas like they are not shutting off. i rebuilt the whole carbs and everything is new.

Yes i had the same probably on my 77 Twin until I got these.

If the tang is too much on an angle they will cock the needle sideways and preven seal. They are for fine adjustments only.
