Gas coming out choke hole side of carb was created by jenningsjesse
I just thoroughly cleaned carbs, and gas just starting leaking out of the side of carb #1 on my Spectre 750 when it is not running. I attached a picture so everyone knows exactly what hole I'm talking about. Float levels are all perfect. Not sure what could cause this, other than a sticking float. CV34 carbs.

What about fuel level per clear tube test?

Good Fortune! :)

I did the clear tube test. Possible petcock needs rebuilt?

Could it be you lost a plug on this bore?
Crosscheck with the other carbs

Where the fuel level keeps rising too high for whatever reason such as an imperfectly sealing float valve or sticking float, the clear tube test should show the too high fuel level.

A perfectly performing petcock won't cure a defect within the carb.

A perfectly performing carb won't leak and won't overflow and will keep it's fuel level within specs without even needing a petcock at all.

Good Fortune! :)

Where is the fuel coming out? Your photo shows the fuel transfer tube passage however on the outside two carbs that passage is blocked and not machined through the way the inner carbs are. Or maybe the fuel is coming from the floatbowl? If so, did you replace the O-rings?

It sure looks exactly like that's where the fuel is coming from is the fuel transfer tube. Id think these passage should be blocked or capped and they're not, can see through to the other carbs. On carb 4, the hole is much smaller. Just seems weird. My best bet is probably to start with doing the clear tube test again, and just pulling my carbs, checking carb 1 out. Wouldn't think the gasket for the float bowl would be bad at all causing this, possibly it's leaking but doubtful. I did replace the jet plug o rings in all carbs in the bottom ends. Im leaning towards needing to change my fuel filter, and it's got to be a stuck float, or a bad seal on the bowl. Should those passage way holes have plugs in them though?

Carb #1 and #4 are NOT drilled for those passages on the outside. The cast depressions are there but they do NOT go through. If you can see light through those fuel transfer passages something is drastically wrong.

Can't see completely through. Just looks like where the fuel is coming from.

I have same carbs also. I think I'd be inclined to suspect the bowl gasket/o ring. Sometimes they swell up (alcohol in the fuel) when you remove the bowl and they can be a bugger to get sitting in the groove when you go to put the bowl back.
Like Nessism says the hole should not go the whole way through. If you have a can or compressed air for cleaning a computer keyboard jam it in the hole and pull the trigger and see if air goes through. Just tried it on mine and they are solid

I've redone several sets of those carbs and every set I've worked on had completely crushed and flattened float bowl O-rings. You can order replacements from ebay or a dealership source. I've got the size written down somewhere if you want to order some from an O-rings store too. That's where I got mine.
