I didn't touch the idle screw. Read once that it doesn't magically change its setting, so I trusted where it was set when it was working. Is this the point in time where I should adjust it?

Separately, the leak still occurs. I'm looking for a non-vacuum actuated petcock now.

If you took the carbs apart, performed a thorough cleaning, etc. I think it would make sense to adjust the idle speed so the engine idles within spec with the choke turned off. Ed

Maybe a dumb question, Is that adjustment done while the engine is completely warm and running?

Looks like a petcock is roughly around $100... unless anyone on here wants to sell me one cheaper!

Can you post or PM me a link to the manual petcock? My bike has been leaking all weekend, and in a single riding season, I bet it'll dump $100 worth of fuel on the ground. Not to mention my wife and I are frustrated that I'm spending money to fix the damned thing and it still leaks. It's not nearly as bad a leak as before the petcock was rebuilt, etc., but I still smell fuel every time I walk by.

After it rains later this week, I'm going to pressure wash the driveway and put cardboard down so I can see how much fuel is actually leaking out.
