Why are the VM28 SS carburetor throttle slides longer in length than the VM26 VM28 throttle slides on the Z1-KZ900 or 77-78 KZ1000?

The early Z1's had 2.0. Lean. You would file off .5mm to make them 1.5. How much longer are they?

do not have exact measurements at the moment. I will measure them when I return to the shop. You filed .5mm off the base of the slide ??

No but I might with my 33's. My 75 came with 1.5 slides. Rich. The 74 and early 74's had 2.0. If I don't get there with jetting that's what I will do.
