Howdy everyone. I've got a couple projects going right now, an '81 KZ650 of my own and a '94 ZX-9R sport bike of my friends. Both bikes had torn screens on the fuel pickups when I removed the petcocks. The KZ has some Honda tank and I haven't identified it yet, and the ZX has a discontinued petcock assembly. Been searching the internet for days and haven't come up with any great options yet. Any ideas where I could possibly source some replacement plastic screens?

Best option so far is to purchase a petcock that looks similar to 'steal' the screens off. Before doing that I thought I'd ask the experts!

Thanks a bunch.

If you can't source the screens, use inline filter. Lots of bikes of that vintage didn't come with screens. If the pickup tube for the run and RES is inside the screen so you will have to re-use the torn screens. I ran an old GS850 for years like that after cleaning the tank.

Don't fix it until it's broken.
