I wouldn't use a cordless drill for mine. Too easy to get them too tight cutting into the rubber.

I agree using a drill could easily over tighten those clamps and create a problem. However, if the drill has a clutch that can be set to a very light setting one could control how tight the screws get. I have a drill and a power screwdriver that each have clutches that can be set so light I can stop them from turning just by holding the screwdriver tip with my fingers. Ed

The cordless driver on a low-torque setting is used to quickly snug them down...then finish tighten by hand.
These special clamps were specifically designed for soft rubber hose applications. They incorporate a special flexible Stainless Steel band that fits loosely around the inside, with no sharp edges, and can be reused over and over...and over without distorting the clamp or stripping the fastener head.
They put the old school clamps to shame.
