Newbie here replacing original carbs 76 KZ900

Old rider, new to the forum. Just ordered a set of 29mm smoothbores to replace originals on my 76 KZ 900. Got to thinking i might need to replace my intake manifolds too?
Any suggestions on vacuum gauges to synch carbs?

If the old ones are hard or just old, replace them. Stock style will work fine.

The Morgan Carbtune may be the best choice available since the death of mercury.

The reason I was asking on the intakes is I think the originals are 26mm. A jump to 29 seems like a lot. So it's just the inside of the carb tunnel that's bigger and the outside diameter is the same?

Did a little research and I think the Carbtune looks like the best one for the money. Glad you think so too.

The OD on the carb body are the same. The only difference is the inside.
When you say new...you mean new model or the old 29mm from back in the day?
