best octane for my new purchase was created by tomsbadkz
I know this is a kz forum and im still building my KZ project. As you all know, it takes time with making changes to build a pro street type bike. While I'm building, I wanted something to ride. I found this 91 Suzuki GSX1100G. This thing runs amazing. I have only put a back tire, rear brake pads, flushed the brakes, checked gear oil as it is a shaft bike, and changed oil and filter. I have a grand total of just over $500 in the whole thing. Reason I'm on here about it is that I'm curious if running 92 octane is the best octane as i understand this is basically a detuned GSXR. Dont yell at me for questions about Suzuki. Im asking cause you guys really seem to know your S###. I want to get the carbs adjusted and check the timing and ride this til at least my KZ1327 with 300 tire is up and running.

Aside from the cost, is the 92 octane gonna be beneficial over the 87 or 89. ill spend the extra if it will be better for it. can too high octane not be the best for the bike?

High octane won't hurt, it's just a waste of money if the bike will run on regular. Some bikes light off easier on regular fuel too since it burns faster.
