Yamaha used them also - the old XS650 Special vertical twin used them (I have three of those engines in my barn waiting to be built into 60's retro bikes someday - a 60's metal flake and chrome hard tail chopper - just for the hell of it, a scrambler off - road bike, and a Triumph Bonneville looking / sounding roadster)
I forgot to add, the Yamaha 650 version is about as close to the KZ1000 as I've seen, most parts are the same. And those 650's will shake your teeth out at idle.....ahhh, the good old days (stone age?).
2-04 R1, 81 CSR1000, 81 LTD1000, 2-83 GPz1100, 3-79CBX, 81 CBX, 3-XS650, 84 Venture, +parts

EDIT: changed my mind. I now think these came from a California model '85 GS700 Suzuki. The model that came with the charcoal canister, thus all the extra plumbing.

The 750 R1 has BS34's, not 32's....

Exactly. If it's for a KZ750, it's going to be 34mm ports, not 32mm... Doesn't matter if it's the R1 or an H3 like I've got. Like my H3 left the factory with (and has some reaaaaaaaally nice remanufactured) Keihin CV34 carbs. A couple years later (H5 I think) they switched the H series over to Mikuni BS34. Still, 34 34 34, always 34. I'm not sure about the '70s models though, only the 1980s. Heck, I think the KZ1000s even used 34mm ports because I've think seen a few of them with Mikuni BS34 carbs installed.
KZs I own
1982 KZ750-H3 LTD (frame's bent, no longer rideable, RIP)
1982 KZ1100 LTD Shaft (thought it was a Spectre)
1988 KZ1000 Police
1989 KZ1000 Police (basket case)
2002 KZ1000 Police
Non-KZs:
1983 Hondamatic 450
2001 Honda Rebel
