Some of you may have read my previous post regarding the fitting of a 4 - 1 and pods. It bogged down with heavy acceleration. After adjustment now above 4k rpm it goes great but below it's a pig. Could adjustment of the pilot screws help low down RPM?

I assume the bike has CV type carbs. If so, you may end up spending many hours trying to get pods to work as well as the stock air box throughout the rpm range. The vacuum in the airbox effects how the CV carbs operate, and without that vacuum they don't operate quite the same. Link below may provide further info. Ed

Cheers guys. At standstill if I crack the the throttle from idle it revs great. Under load at low throttle it stumbles but picks up at 1/4 - 1/2 throttle. The Pilots are 2 and 1/2 out. The plugs are a bit sooty but not overly so. Trying to explain the bikes behaviour is tricky but at below half throttle under load if runs badly
