KZ1100D2 Mystery Carb Parts was created by badams215236
Hello,

I've Got this KZ1100D2 that I am putting back together, it was not completely original when I bought it and I have found some ports on the slab of carbs that have me baffled. In this first Pic you can see the assembled carbs. the fuel line is down the middle and in-between both outside sets of carbs there is a barbed fitting that was open to the air when I bought it. my second pic show a close up the fitting in question.

Can anyone tell me what these ports are for. where they hooked up to in the stock config, and what should I do with them now?
thanks in advance for the info.

Looks like float bowl vents. Run a tube up above the air cleaner so critters won't get in.

What is the specific name of these carbs? I know they aren't BS34's like on my 1100A Shafty.

They look like BS Mikuni's to me.

They look like my carbs (Mikuni BS).ive just finished overhauling them and fitted them today. The plastic T-Piece in the middle is the main feed which goes up to the larger fitting on the fuel tap.and the 2nd (smaller) pipe,is the vacuum and comes off the 2nd carb going up to the smaller fitting on the tap. The other 3 cabs will have the vacuum ports capped off.
Thats how i understand it.

What I mean to say is that they only have 2 vent/jet holes in the rear air horn, and they have the center "T-Vents". The ones on my 1100 have 4 vent/jet holes in the rear air horn and NO center "T-vents". Are these an older version of the BS34 or do I have the correct name of mine confused? When I looked up the carb bodys in the parts microfiche for 1982 1100 A Shaft and 1100 Spectre, the carb bodies are definately different. Does anybody know what the specific differences are between the 2?

There are all kinds of variants of BS34's. Suzuki used the same carbs but there are several details where they are different from the Kawasaki version. They are still BS34's though.
