Soaking and swapping No. 2 Carb KZ750e1 was created by imagesofhis
So after ruining the no 2 carb on my bike by breaking off and destroying the pilot jet threads, I am going to swap out this new-old no2 carb from a kz750e2or3. I want to soak all the carbs and clean them really well before putting the bank back together. I was wondering if I should take this last little bit off the carb before soaking it? In my service manual there isn't any parts breakdown for this specific part of the carb and I thought maybe it is best to leave it alone. What do you guys and gals think?

Doesn't look too bad to me. I'd use spray carb cleaner. Use a wire brush strand or guitar string on the pilots.
