BS34 Pilot Jet Questions was created by Irish-Kawi
Hi KZR,

Need a bit of guidance from the sage gurus of carb land here on KZR with my Mikuni BS34 pilots! I need to step up to a #40 pilot jet since on the off idle to 3600 rpm range is where she stumbles and hesitates a bit still with the K&N filter in there. I stepped up one step on the Main Jets, and put two shims (1mm total) under the needles and this helped but still hesitates and stumbles off idle.

I went to Z1E and a few other sites like PJ Motorsports and see pilots for BS30/96's which are 14mm in length and 4mm head and 6 bleed holes around the body/shank. I can't find any listing specifically to BS34's only ones for BS30's???

Any input is appreciated, I emailed Jeff at Z1E but have yet to hear a reply as I am sure he is busy too. :)

Thanks,
Brett

EDIT UPDATE: Just had Pops pull a pilot jet out of another set of BS34's from a different GPz750 and oddly enough they were not the ones listed as the BS30/96 with the bleed holes, but rather were the N151.067 on the PJMotorsports website. The pilots on those do NOT have bleed holes in them and the heads are not the 4mm but rather the 4.8mm heads too. So if anyone can help me confirm for me that yes these are the right ones so that I can order my pilots and put this lean out condition to bed.

Thanks,
Brett
