Noob who needs guidance

The world has progressed greatly since 1977 :woohoo:
If factory racing, Did the rules preclude changing fasteners??
Can't really see in the image what kind of screws are in use where
I'm sure if they were trying to set speed records now they wouldn't be using tires from 1977
Would they also rely on old technology for fastening the bike together??
Barney Oldfield once set a land speed record on the beach with a engine with no gaskets, only Permatex Form A Gasket holding it together
I will not allow a tube of that to come within 50 yards of my garage nowadays :dry:
The bottom line is it really is a personal preference thing :blink:
I don't build anything without them, for reasons that could fill a small book :ohmy:
