kz550a intake boot interchange?

Carb Guru's,

I've been chasing down an inconsistent idle since I got this bike and wondered if any other model kz intake manifold boot is interchangeable with the kz550a?
I searched here and found a thread in which HAFROD seems to be suggesting:
"What I also found out is my new KZ1000 intake boots will fit my 84 GPz550."

Would this be true for my kz550a ?
Additionally, my kz has intake manifolds which have vacuum ports like I see on kz1000 boots on ebay... Is that normal?
EDIT;
Here's the ebay listing I'm talking about:
kz1000 boots here

I am only able to find used boots (like on ebay) and feel reluctant to swap my used boots for other's used boots to solve what I believe is the source of my carbs' issues.
I want to take this full circle and complete with a carb sync but what's the point if your intake boots are leaking?

BTW, have you checked your valve adjustments? New owners go right to the carbs only to find it was tight valves.

Hey Steve,

Yes Sir! I did check the valves (the Rabbit Hole thread  )
But, all valves are now in the middle of their FSM spec range. Woot!

Good job. New carb holders will last you years. Worth the money. The ones I took off I bought in 96.

Get new ones from Z1E enterprises. 40$ or so. Worth every penny. I had to snip off the originals, they were like concrete. R

The 1984 gpz550 carb holders are very different from what is on your bike.
The bolt spacing is different. The inside diameter is different. The outside diameter is different.

Your bike uses TK22 carbs, which are used on 80-83 Kz550C1-C4, 81 Kz550D1, 80-82 Kz550A1-A3. The boots on the KZ400J and KZ500's are probably the same as yours as well.
