mikuni bs34 carbs on a kz 650 jetting for elevatio
01 Mar 2016 15:26
Hello everyone recently moved from az to northern California I have a bs34 mikuni cv carb on my 78 650 Sr with a kerker 4 into 1 header and pods was curious to kno how much the elevation change will effect the jetting and if so what the proper jetting sizes are that I can use for replacement jets. Perhaps there is a graph based on elevation someone has Thank u in advance for your time and help

What kind of elevation are we talking about?

Considering that you are running non-original carbs, plus the fact that they are CV carbs with pods, I doubt there's a jetting chart that will be applicable. I suspect you should plan to spend a good deal of time trying to get them to work as well as the stock VM24SS carbs would have worked with the stock airbox. Ed

If the bike was dialed in before you moved and we are not talking about 5000 feet or higher I wouldn't worry about.
