KZ1000 police trottle only 1 cable

Hey guys. New here. Picked up 82 kz1000 police this fall. Trying to get it ready for spring. Is the bike supposed to only have 1 throttle cable. Ive never seen 1 always 2 accelerator and decelerator. Looked on handle it has decelerator hole plugged and I could not see where it would hook up on the carbs. Does your kz1000 police has 2 cables? Thanks

The 81 and up bikes with the BS34 CV carbs have only 1 throttle cable. The earlier mechanical slide carbs (vm26, vm28 etc) had two
my bikes; 80kz1000(project), 77 gl1000, 74 h2 (project)
Past; 78 kz1000, 83 kz550

I rode for years with only one cable. I went back to two this time around so the throttle would close faster and it seems easier on my hand. Mine are VM carbs.
