Vacuum petcock disabled.
I just use PRI position, and when the ignition switch is off a 12volts magnetic valve on the fuel line is closed.
Has the magnetic valve been tested to assure that it's functioning properly to prevent any and all fuel from passing into the carb's float bowl while the ignition key is switched OFF?
Good Fortune!

Is #1 spark plug black and sooty, which could indicate a too rich fuel mixture in #1 cylinder from #1 carb?

Yes. Perfect plugs. Perfect running engine. No vacuum hoses to carbs. All vacuum ports are plugged.
The fuel tap is on PRI. The automatic valve work.
I have no fuel leak in other parts of carbs. Only a drop under the first boot.
Tomorrow i will post a pic of the magnetic valve.

This is the magnetico valve, under key. All vacuum ports are plugged. Aldo the vacuum on the tap is plugged.
It is always on prime, if i turn the key on the valve open.
I hate vacuum fuel taps. They fail too often..
Sorry for the pooor pic
