I had to make the holes in the box larger and use large hose for my 33's.

Thanks baldy110
Very good information there!
Is there something to attach a piece of hose for checking the float level, and draining each bowl independently?
Sorry, I'm going by visual image recollection on this.

Depending on the size, I used the bottom of a mini mag light. It fit perfectly.

Any noticeable difference in performance vs. using PODZ?

I gave up on pods 30 years ago. I was complaining to miller that my bike seemed to be running out of fuel at high speeds. He told me the air is passing so fast, it creates a vortex behind your legs and starves the carbs of air. I put a KZ 900 air box on and the problem went away.

Not sure what you have there...
The BS34's have a convenient drain screw and nipple at the base of the bowl, to simply attach a piece of clear tubing. Is that not an option with the RS models?

My 33's have a large bolt at the bottom for quick access to the main jet. No drain or overflow. From what baldy was saying they have it too. The main jet sits in the bolt/cover so it has to be deep enough> I guess a rubber cork could be used if it is drilled to fit and a tube inserted.

I like the Orvis Vortex reel for Steelhead fishing, but kinda get the point related to the carb/air situation...
Add in the unmatched protection the engine gets while running in inclement weather, and dusty road conditions...I'm for staying "inside the box" too. :)
