carb bowl drip still....

I had my carbs fitted with new gaskets cuz one was dropping bad so after he did it the one is still dripping. I think it's from the carb bowl. Its the first left one for cylinder one. Is there a reason the gasket might not seal?

Sometimes it will fix itself overnight as the gaskets swell up in contact with petrol. Carefully retighten the float bowl fixings if needed.

Some of the pattern float valves and particularly the O rings could be better.

does not sound like gasket problem, might be the fuel level the carbs sometimes have a small vent hole where the gas can escape , the floats might be sticking or need adjusting B)

Agree.

Measure fuel level in the carb to see what the real problem is.

But the gaskets were replaced like 4 months ago. And it's still dripping

That's because the issue is not the bowl gaskets.

Now we know it has been leaking from 4 months ago, but I've had this a couple of times myself with new float bowl gaskets.

yes, but it was only a couple of tears of leakage around the gasket faces and it sealed up within a day.

Check your float bowl fuel level for starters, cylinder 1 carbs tends to get all the crap when the bike is parked on it's sidestand, so leaky needle valve issues seem more common here..

HI. i dont know if this has been mentioned, but i had 2 carbs that would not stop leaking, and it drove me nuts? finally i took the bowls off and held my finger on the end of the overflow tube and blew into the other end to find i had a small crack in the overflow tubes. replaced the bowls and problem solved
