It stopped spitting out of the carbs, the idle was better and the pilot system works better. :woohoo:

starts and runs, just feels like that 1 cylinder is down.
was riding it last week for first time with 70 140 and it was great. slowly its been getting worse, now i dont want to ride it, just fix it is all i can think about.

i just went through the manual about the valve adjust service, didnt see anything about removing the buckets to get to the shims. i also saw the special tool for shimming. does it let you remove the bucket an shims without removing the cams?

You need a manual. You do take out the cams to get to the buckets on a 750 four, not on a twin.

The special tool is for 900/1000s you defently need to remove the cams and buckets for shim removal and new carb holders were one of the best investments I made in my opinion..... they may look ok but won't reseal at the head once they are removed and sealer is only temp.

1978 KZ650 b-2
700cc Wiseco kit 10 to 1.
1980 KZ750 cam, ape springs, stock clutch/ Barnett springs.
Vance and Hines Header w/ comp baffle and Ape pods, Dyna S and green coils, copper wires.
29MM smooth bores W/ 17.5 pilots, 0-6s and 117.5 main
16/42 gearing X ring chain and alum rear JT sprocket.

I got a set from Z1 and another for the smooth bores over Ebay...... was 2 years ago already now.
