The carb sync could also be bad. Carbs open too far at idle could cause some issue.
Also make sure your air filter/ lid are in place and properly
Secured, could have something to do with it.
Are your plugs good and clean? Spark on all cylinders?

Plugs are clean + new, all 4 cylinders are firing. Airbox, lid, and filter are all in place correctly. I'm guessing the stupid carb holders. I'll get back to them this week with a can of WD-40, and then seal the crap out of everything.

I like to use staring fluid or carb cleaner to check for vacuum leaks, so I don't get the oily residue all over everything I spray from the WD 40

I've gone through a couple sets of those Keihin carbs including busting them down all the way and soaking the bodies in carb dip. You can not do a proper cleaning job by just spraying junk through them, plus the fuel transfer tube O-rings are sure to be hard as a rock and should be replaced.
One thing that's critical is to measure fuel level using the clear tube method. Even with rubber tipped float needles it's difficult to get the fuel level at the proper height.
