WD can work, best (cheap) option though, is to use a propane torch, no flame just the gas. Even if tou changed the holders, unless you ensured the sealing surface is nice and flat it could be leaking there, the nipples for
The carb sync could also be bad. Carbs open too far at idle could cause some issue.
Also make sure your air filter/ lid are in place and properly
Secured, could have something to do with it.
Are your plugs good and clean? Spark on all cylinders?

Plugs are clean + new, all 4 cylinders are firing. Airbox, lid, and filter are all in place correctly. I'm guessing the stupid carb holders. I'll get back to them this week with a can of WD-40, and then seal the crap out of everything.

Don't "seal the crap outta everything" if the holders are leaking put a little indian head, or the like on the mating surface, and I mean little, and double check the vacuum nipples, and the petcock hose if you're using it. If not, make sure that it is plugged off

Don't use RTV. The stuff will leech into the head. PO used it on the KZ650 Air box tubes. It leeched over time and was the main problem with the carbs. Not to mention there was duct tape exposed to fuel and oil too. Don't do it. YOU WILL REGRET IT. R

I like to use staring fluid or carb cleaner to check for vacuum leaks, so I don't get the oily residue all over everything I spray from the WD 40

Spraying junk around the carbs will only find gross vacuum leaks. It won't find the leaks if they are more subtle. If the boots are questionable just replace them. They aren't overly expensive.
I've gone through a couple sets of those Keihin carbs including busting them down all the way and soaking the bodies in carb dip. You can not do a proper cleaning job by just spraying junk through them, plus the fuel transfer tube O-rings are sure to be hard as a rock and should be replaced.
One thing that's critical is to measure fuel level using the clear tube method. Even with rubber tipped float needles it's difficult to get the fuel level at the proper height.
