No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationHello everyone.
someone uses Mikuni RS 34 of a motor 900 kz all stock except the exhaust ( 4 in 1 fully open ) ?

I ask because I intension of making an engine ' big ' , when I have all the parts ( and the budget ... ) but in the meantime I would like to buy these :

possibility of road use ?
tractability ?
Problems?

or recommended to mount only with displacements appropriate ?

thanks in advance for the answers .
P.S.
if any of you has to sell ...

Start with the motor first, then move on to carbs.

The RS carbs are a popular choice for these, but if you over-carb it on a stock motor you might just loose more than you gain.

Think carb airflow proportional to the venturi diameter 28 mm squared = 784
34 mm....... = 1156
= 1.47 more - plus these are smoothbore so the real numbers would be higher.

Bigger carbs make less intake vacuum so your throttle response and low end power can be adversely affected.
I would do cylinder head and hotter cams firstly, then a bore kit and carbs last.

Not to mention fitment issues. My 33's are much bigger than the 28's. Had to buy bigger carb holders, make bigger boots, use a KZ 900 air box with the holes enlarged and make new boots to fit. My petcock barely clears the carb body.

Oh and my pretty silicon boots? I should have gone with the black ones.

Those carbs are way too big for a stock 900 motor,
besides that , why would you pay 699.00 for a used set, when you can get a brand new set for 26.00 more, here

You can get a used set of 1015 or 1075 block and pistons and still have money for some used cams. I can make every penny of $600 squeak. :woohoo:

Those carbs, free shipping and 10 percent off first order, that is cheap. Factor in several different jet and needles x 4 also I guess...
